Sibelius 8.0.1 Dragging with trackpad = nightmare Posted by kbundies - 05 Oct 05:13AM (edited 05 Oct 05:14AM) | hello, since using version 8 I don’t seem to be able to drag the score anymore with two fingers on my trackpad. The score zooms in and out at the same time. Changing the settings for trackpad in the system setiings does not change this behaviour in Sibelius 8. This way it seems more or less impossible to work Sibelius on my MacBook Pro.. -- Sibelius 8.0.1 on Mac OSX 10.10.5 | Back to top | Allthreads |

Re: Sibelius 8.0.1 Dragging with trackpad = nightmare Posted by Steve - 05 Oct 07:15AM | Seems Sibelius 8 was intended for Windows, with all of the lauded improvements being more or less specifically for Surface. Re: Sibelius 8.0.1 Dragging with trackpad = nightmare Posted by kbundies - 05 Oct 09:57AM | Still I would like to work on my MacBook Pro; use the trackpad - not for zooming! There must be a workaround - or it is a newly invented bug. -- Sibelius 8.0.1 on Mac OSX 10.10.5 | Back to top | Allthreads |

Re: Sibelius 8.0.1 Dragging with trackpad = nightmare Posted by Robin Walker - 05 Oct 02:04PM | As a work-around: a. use Command-click-drag to drag scores without zooming; b. keep two-touch gestures for zooming only. -- Sibelius 8/7.5.1/7.1.3/6.2/5.2.5, PhotoScore Ult 8.0.4, Dolet 6.4 for Sibelius, Windows 7 32-bit SP1 4GB, Windows 8.1 64-bit 16GB. | Back to top | Allthreads |

Re: Sibelius 8.0.1 Dragging with trackpad = nightmare Posted by Joe @ Sibelius - 16 May 08:18AM | In Sib 8.3 we replaced some custom classes that handled scrolling in one way or another, allowing our cross platform framework Qt to handle it directly instead. It should be vastly improved when compared with 8.0 and 7.5 too. Please let me know how you get on. -- Joe Pearson | Product Designer | Sibelius www.sibelius.com, @joeapearson, joe.pearson@avid.com | Back to top | Allthreads |
