HDFC mobile banking app is available for both Android and IOS. You can install it on your IOS device by visiting your phone’s app store. In the same way, to install it on Android device visit Google Play Store.
After visiting your concerned app store, search for ‘HDFC mobile banking app’ and then install it on your phone. Make sure to install genuine HDFC mobile app.
After installing the app, open it and give all the permissions it asked for.
Thereafter, to complete on time HDFC mobile banking registration, click on ‘SET UP QUICK ACCESS PIN’.
Now, enter your HDFC customer ID and then enter your mobile number that you’ve linked to your bank account. After entering the details, tap ‘Continue’.
Note: You can find your customer ID on your bank passbook, account statement and you can also find it online. Read, “How to find HDFC customer ID?”
After entering the details, tap on Next button.
In the next step, you’ll receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. If you given all permissions to the app then OTP will be entered automatically, otherwise, enter the one time password your received in the given field. Tap ‘Continue’.
Select your debit card by tapping on the down arrow button.

Enter you ATM PIN that you use to withdraw cash from the ATM machine.
Subsequently, select your debit card/ATM card’s expiry date; you can find it on your debit card.
Okay we’re all set to finish HDFC mobile banking registration. For that purpose, enter a 4-digit Quick Access PIN say 1234 (set a difficult PIN) for your mobile banking app. You’ll be using this PIN to login to your HDFC mobile banking app.
Re-enter your PIN and then hit Continue button.
That’s it, You’ve successfully completed HDFC mobile banking registration. Now, tap on Login button and enter your 4 digit quick access PIN to login to your mobile banking application.

HDFC Bank customers who attempt to make a UPI payment through the bank’s official HDFC MobileBanking app (App Version 10.0.6) might be greeted with a “technical error” prompt, particularly if they are using the app on a smartphone having Android 10 operating system (OS).
Now, if you are a regular customer and only rely on the bank’s official app for your day-to-day transactions, such a prompt is likely to be very annoying and can take your daily banking needs for a toss.
HDFC Bank customers having Android 10 smartphones are facing issues with UPI feature on the HDFC MobileBanking app. The app prompts with ‘Technical Error Occured’.In a detailed response to a complaint raised by a customer earlier this month, HDFC Bank explained the case of UPI device binding security feature in Android OS platform. In its email, the bank claimed that due to the changes in Android 10’s security feature it was forced to stop the UPI services for all users who upgraded their smartphones to Android 10 or purchased a new smartphone with Android 10 OS out of the box.
According to HDFC Bank, all UPI apps on the Android OS platform require to build a security check at the first stage for device binding, basically, a process through which various information such as device id (IMEI number), SIM serial number and mobile number are fetched.
This particular step acts as identification of the particular user who is trying to use the app. It does not allow any other UPI user to use the same app with different identity after the device binding is completed.

For this particular process, the bank depends on Android OS through the form factor defined by the PSP (Payment Service Provider) bank.

HDFC Bank claimed that the Android OS used to support the above parameters till Android 9 Pie OS. However, Google has stopped the support of device id on Android 10 for all smartphones including dual-SIM handsets.
The reply further said that the bank is working closely with Google on this particular issue and the solution for this is expected in a few days.
